• Locate a salon in your area
• Visit a few salons to find out if they have a bridal consultant or stylists who specialize in bridal hairstyles
• Check the salon and stylist's availability

8 - 10 MONTHS BEFORE

• Gather pictures from magazines and online sites of hairstyles you like and want to discuss with your stylist during the consultation / trial appointment.

6 - 8 MONTHS BEFORE

• Schedule an appointment for a trial hairstyle with your stylist. An early trial will allow you to have another one if you didn't find the perfect look during the first appointment.
• Put the stylist on hold for your wedding day
• Ask your stylist if they recommend a hair accessory for your look or bring your hairpiece, veil, tiara, etc. with you to your hairstyle trial appointment so your stylist can work with them when creating your style.
• Bring a picture of your wedding gown to give your stylist a better idea of your over all look.
• Bring a camera to all trials and take photos of the style from each direction - front, back, sides.

• Final color touch-ups
• No major changes should be made this close to the wedding day

WEDDING DAY TIPS

• Bring photos of the final look you choose with your stylist to your appointment.
• Wear your undergarments under a button-front shirt to your hair appointment on your wedding day so you can just slip on your dress when you are done!
• Tip: A veil can be worn with any hairstyle. Your stylist can determine how to best secure it and show you (and your Mom or bridesmaid) how to do it on the big day.
